Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the susceptibility by using five kinds of antifugal agent to inhibit Candida albicans isolated from the hospitalized patient in the Departement of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in dental hospital.
The 50% MIC of amphotericin B was 0g/1e, that of miconazol, nystatin, and clotrimazol was 16,ug/m2 and econazol was 64gg/mf. Survival rate of Candida albicans began to _decreas at 16gg/m.e conscentration and showed significant difference at 32pg/me among antifungal agents. The amphotericin B was the most. susceptibile drug in this experiment. There was no significant difference among
miconazol, nystatin and clotrimazol. Econazol showed the lowest susceptibility in
this experiment.

These results suggest that amphotericin B might be very effective in the treatment of oral candidiasis.
